Abomey’s Royal Palace
(UNESCO site), in Central Benin, has been restored after a fire had destroyed part of its 18th century structure and can again be visited. This palace, now a museum, is entirely built in adobe and is one of the few remnants of Africa’s splendorous imperial past.
